Taking an up close and personal look at the drama of food poverty to policy makers and influencers, where it played to a full-house of Parliamentarians and invited guests.
‘Food bank as it is,’ is a shocking and provocative play, written by Tara Osman, a former food bank manager who wanted the world to know about the tragedy of food poverty. The play has now been performed in theatres and other venues up and down the country. My contribution was to help develop content for the programme and promotional material, setting the issues the play raises into a wider policy context. I worked closely with MPs to bring the play successfully to Parliament, where it played to a full-house of ministers and invited guests.
