The transformational potential of multi-sensory immersion
Recently, I was invited to speak at the Sensing Nature conference at the Welcome Trust. The event was aimed at academics, charities, and natural heritage organisations, to show-case the findings of the Sensing Nature project and highlight areas for further development.
I spoke about Natural Inclusion and my approach to this work, illustrating the role that time spent in nature plays in enhancing our health and well-being. We explored the 'Nature Sense principles' and the transformational potential of multi-sensory immersion experiences led by visually impaired facilitators.
One audience member was so inspired he is now pursuing Ph.D. research based upon my Nature sense principles.
