Multi-sensory nature reserves

A series of workshops for the RSPB and Wildfowl and Wetland Trust, in collaboration with Exeter University.

This was an extended project in collaboration with the RSPB, Wildfowl and Wetland Trust and Exeter University. The purpose was to gain a better understanding of how natural heritage sites could become more inclusive for the visually impaired and convey a more sensory rich experience for all visitors. My contribution was leading workshops for the visitor experience team and volunteers to develop their capacity to create multi-sensory experiences for the public.

This involved facilitating experiential activities to enable participants to deepen their own awareness of the sensory richness of the ecological habitats within which they work. The activities also reconnect people powerfully with their non-visual senses and enable an expanded relationship with the natural world.
